Science Games Lab

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 30, 2026

The short version. We do not collect any identifiers about you — no name, no email address, no phone number, no advertising ID, no location, no contacts, no payment information. We do not know who you are, and we do not save who you are.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. We do not run ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Science Games Lab is a learning experience. What your child plays and discovers belongs to your family, not to us. This page explains the very small amount of anonymous usage data we do see, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we do collect

To understand which parts of the experience work and which are confusing, we record anonymous product-analytics events through Mixpanel. Each install of the App generates a random ID stored on your device — it is not tied to anything that identifies you — and the events tagged with that ID are simply:

  • That the App was opened.
  • Which game was started or exited, and how long the session lasted.
  • Which level was completed.
  • Which in-game tools were interacted with (using non-personal labels we set in code).

Email sign-ups for our app launch (website only)

This part applies only to the Science Games Lab website, and only if you choose to use it. Because the app is not live yet, the site offers a “Get notified when we’re live” button. If you open it and submit your email address, we send that single address to Mixpanel as an “Email Submitted” event so we can let you know when the app launches.

This is the one place where you can choose to share a real identifier with us, and it is entirely optional — nothing on the site asks for an email in order to read the articles. It is intended for parents and adult caregivers: please do not enter a child’s email address, and only sign up if the email account is your own.

We use the address solely to email you about the Science Games Lab launch. We never sell or share it. To have it removed at any time, email gidonravner@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days.

What stays on your device

Your game progress — levels completed, scores, and session counts — never leaves your device. It lives only in local device storage and is discarded when you uninstall the App or clear app data.

Children

Science Games Lab is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent, teacher, or caregiver. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Because we collect no identifying information at all — only anonymous random IDs and gameplay events — the App is designed to be safe for young users from the ground up.

Deleting what little we do see

Email gidonravner@gmail.comand we will delete the anonymous events tied to your install from Mixpanel within 30 days. You can also simply uninstall the App or clear app data — the local random ID is removed with it, and any future events cannot be linked to prior ones.

Changes and contact

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top. For anything else, write to gidonravner@gmail.com.
